The Mexico 1,000 Pesos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mexico in 1983 in a combination of brown, green, purple, and red. The obverse of the note features Juana de Asbaje with her hand on an open book. The reverse of the paper bill depicts the bank guilloche, the bank seal, and the church and fountain in Plaza de Santo Domingo in Mexico City. Security features of this banknote include a solid security thread with printed BANXICO MIL PESOS and a watermark that shows Juana de Asbaje. The note is 157 x 67 mm in size. It is in uncirculated condition and is part of the Series UY.
