The 1,000 Mexican Peso Banknote from 2013 is part of the 2004 2017 series. Its obverse side features a portrait of Spanish Priest Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, a church bell, the three towers of the Dolores Hidalgo church, and the map of Mexico as the registration device. The reverse side features the bank seal, the map of Mexico, a frog, and the University of Guanajuato buildings. The security features of the note include a Windowed Motion security thread and a solid security thread. A shadow image of Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and electrotype 1000 is also made visible under a UV light. The note is 155 x 66 mm in size.
