The obverse side shows the Dolores bell at Palacio Nacional (National Palace), a stylized eagle head as a registration device, and Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla known as Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla or Miguel Hidalgo, a Spanish Catholic priest, a leader of the Mexican War of Independence. The reverse side shows a bank guilloche, a stylized eagle head, the parish of Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, and a bank seal. The note does not bear any security thread nor a watermark.
