The Mexico 2,000 Pesos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mexico in 1987 as part of Series CQ. It has a color combination of green, brown, and black. Its obverse features writer, Justo Sierra and Juan O’Gorman’s mural Historical Representation of Culture of the Central Library of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The reverse of the note features the bank seal and guilloche overprint. It also displays the 19th-century courtyard with a colonnade and the equestrian statue of Carlos IV at the University of Mexico. It does not have a security thread or watermark. It is 157 x 67 mm in size and is signed by Gonzalo Garcia Rodriguez. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
