The Mexico 2,000 Peso banknote is part of the DZ series issued by the Bank of Mexico in 1989 with green, brown, and black color combinations. Its obverse features Mexican writer Justo Sierra and Juan OGormans mural called Historical Representation of Culture on Central Library of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The back of the paper bill depicts the 19th-century courtyard with colonnade and an equestrian statue of Carlos IV at the University of Mexico. It also shows the bank seal and guilloche overprint. The banknote is 157 x 67 mm in size and bears no security thread and watermark but carries the signature of the bank cashier Jaime Pacreu Vizcaya. This paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
