This uncirculated 2,000 Mexican peso banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Mexico as part of the 1989 DU series. It is a green, brown, and black note that is dated 28 March 1989, bear the signatures of Francisco Barja Martinez, Oscar Espinosa Villareal and Jaime Pacreu Vizcaya, and measures 157 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side shows the portrait of writer Justo Sierra and the mural “Historical Representation of Culture” by Juan O’Gorman. Its reverse side shows the bank seal and guilloche overprint and a view of the 19th-century courtyard at the University of Mexico. The banknote does not have a security thread or a watermark.
