The Mexico 20 Pesos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mexico in 2021 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Mexican Independence. It has a color combination of red and green and is printed on polymer. Its obverse side depicts the gate of the Army of Three Guaranties to Mexico City on September 27, 1821. Its reverse side is vertically oriented and depicts the Sian Ka-an Biosphere Reserve with mangroves, a crocodile, and a chocolate heron. The note does not have a security thread or a watermark. It bears the signatures of Alejandro Diaz de Leon and Alejandro Alegre Rabiela and measures 120 mm x 65 mm. This commemorative polymer banknote is in uncirculated condition. The note has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
