Mexico 20 Pesos Banknote, 2021, P-132a.2, UNC, Commemorative, Polymer

The Mexico 20 Pesos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mexico in 2021 to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of Independence. Featured on the obverse is a work of art by an anonymous author, "Solemne and peaceful entry of the Army of the Three Guarantees to Mexico City on September 27 of the memorable year of 1821". It also shows the Army Flag of the Three Guarantees and the Flag of Mexico. The reverse depicts a mangrove ecosystem with the Mexican crocodile. It also displays the chocolate heron in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, in Quintana Roo. It is 120 x 65 mm in size and is signed by Alejandro Alegre Rabiela and Alejandro Diaz de Leon Carillo. This commemorative banknote is printed on polymer and is in uncirculated condition.
