The Mexico 20 Pesos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mexico in 2021 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Mexican Independence. The note is printed on a polymer substrate to strengthen its security and durability. Its obverse side depicts the peaceful entering of the Army of the Three Guarantees to Mexico City on September 27, 1821. Its reverse depicts mangroves, a Mexican crocodile, and a chocolate heron at the Sian Ka-an Biosphere Reserve. The banknote does not contain a security thread but has a clear window watermark with the denomination. It measures 120 mm x 65 mm and is signed by Galia Borja Gomez and Alejandro Alegre Rabiela. This commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
