On the obverse of this green banknote are a portrait writer Juana de Asbaje y Ramirez de Santillana, an open book and a quill in Optically Variable Ink, an inkwell, a quill, a library window, and an open book. The reverse of the note depicts the map of Mexico, the bank seal, the Hacienda de Panoayan, the baptismal font of the church of San Vicente Ferrer in Chimalhuacan, and the Popocatepetl and Iztaccinautl volcanoes. The note contains a windowed motion security thread and a solid security thread. It also has a watermark that reflects Juana de Asbaje y Ramirez de Santillana and an electrotype 200. The note measures 141 x 66 mm and is signed by Alejandro Alegre Rabiela. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
