Mexico 5 Pesos Banknote, 1971, P-62b.1, UNC, Series 1U

The Mexico 5 Pesos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mexico in 1971. It is in a color combination of black, brown, and green. Its obverse features La Corregidora, Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez. The reverse of the note depicts the bank seal, a yukka plant, an aqueduct, houses, and a church in Queretaro. It also displays a stylized eagle eating snake and the bank guilloche. The note does not contain a security thread and watermark. It is 157 x 67 mm in size and is signed by Alfonso Romo. This Series 1U banknote and is in uncirculated condition.
