This mint condition 5 Mexican peso coin is part of the series that commemorates the Bicentenary of Mexican Independence in 2008. Its obverse side shows the national arms of Mexico: a flying golden eagle devouring a snake on a prickly pear. Its reverse side shows the bust of Ignacio Lopez Rayon, the general who took after leading the revolution after Miguel Hidalgo died. The coin is made of an aluminum-bronze center and a stainless steel ring, weighs 7.07 g, and has a diameter of 25.5 mm.
