This bimetallic 5 Mexican peso coin is part of the Bicentenary of Independence series, a series of commemorative coins issued by the Bank of Mexico to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Independence War between Mexico and Spain. This coin highlights Hermenegildo Galeana, the right-hand man of Jose Maria Morelos. His bust is seen on one side of the coin. The other side of the coin shows the national arms of Mexico. The coin has an aluminum-bronze center and a stainless steel outer ring. It weighs 7.07 g and has a diameter of 25.5 mm. This coin is in mint condition.
