This coin highlights Maria de la Soledad Leona Camila Vicario Fernandez de San Salvador, the Distinguished and Beloved Mother of the Homeland who was a member of Los Guadalupes, funded the rebellion, and became one of the first female journalists in Mexico. Her bust is seen on one side of the coin. The other side of the coin shows the national arms of Mexico. The coin has an aluminum-bronze center and a stainless steel outer ring.
