The Mexico 50,000 Pesos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mexico in 1987. The banknote comes in a color combination of black, purple, and brown. Featured on the obverse are a stylized image of a Cuauhtemoc bird glyph and a portrait of the Aztec emperor, Cuauhtemoc. The note’s reverse depicts a bank guilloche, the bank seal, an unknown object, and a Spaniard in armor fighting an Aztec in a bird costume, from the painting by Jorge Gonzalez Camarena “La Fusion de dos Culturas (Melting of Two Cultures) in Chapultepec castle. The note contains a solid security thread with printed text. It also has a watermark that reflects Cuauhtemoc. The note is 157 x 67 mm in size and is signed by Gonzalo Garcia Rodriguez, This particular banknote is part of Series AD and is in uncirculated condition.
