This uncirculated 50,000 Mexican peso note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Mexico as part of the 1987 AQ series. It is a black, purple, and brown note that is dated 24 February 1987, bears the signature of Gonzalo Garcia Rodriguez, and measures 157 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features the Aztec emperor Cuauhtemoc and his bird glyph. Its reverse side shows a bank guilloche, the bank seal, and a depiction of a Spaniard and an Aztec warrior fighting in Chapultepec castle from the painting “La Fusion de dos Culturas” (Melting of Two Cultures) by Jorge Gonzalez Camarena.
