Mexico 50,000 Pesos Banknote from 1990 with pick number P-93b.2 is in uncirculated (UNC) condition and features Cuauhtemoc. This banknote is part of Series GC.


The Mexico 50,000 Pesos Banknote is part of the Bank of Mexico’s 1990 issues. It has hints of black, purple, and brown. Its obverse features a stylized image of a Cuauhtemoc bird glyph and Cuauhtemoc who was an Aztec emperor. The note’s reverse depicts a bank guilloche, the bank seal, an unknown object, and a Spaniard in armor fighting an Aztec in a bird costume, from the painting by Jorge Gonzalez Camarena “La Fusion de dos Culturas (Melting of Two Cultures) in Chapultepec castle. The note contains a solid security thread with printed text. It also has a watermark that reflects Cuauhtemoc. The note is 157 x 67 mm in size and is signed by Jaime Pacreu Vizcaya. This Series GC banknote is in uncirculated condition.
