This uncirculated 50 Mexican peso note is part of the Historical Identity and National Heritage series issued by the Bank of Mexico in 2021. It bears the signatures of Alejandro Diaz de Leon Carillo and Alejandro Alegre Rabiela. This note highlights the Foundation of Tenochtitlan (modern-day Mexico City). The note is vertically oriented. Its obverse side features the monolith that depicts an eagle on a cactus with the Atl Tlachinolli and the mural “La Gran Tenochtitlan” by Diego Rivera. Its reverse side depicts the lakes and rivers of Xochimilco, the axolotl, and corn. The features of the note have been verified and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
