The Mozambique 1,000 Escudos banknote is part of the 1972 (1976 ND)issues. It is green in color and measures 172 x 85 mm. The obverse side shows a horizontal black BANCO DE MOMBIQUE overprint, a Portuguese text, Gago Coutinho, and the Portuguese national coat of arms. The reverse side features a Portuguese text, the BNU seal with a ship, and naval aviators Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral in an open cockpit celebrating the first aerial crossing of the South Atlantic in 1922. This banknote uses a solid security thread and contains a watermark with a Gago Coutinho design. This note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
