The Mozambique 1,000 Meticais Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mozambique in 1983. The banknote has a color combination of red, orange, and brown. Its obverse side depicts the FRELIMO monument, the national coat of arms, and the first president Samora Moises Machel with four young boys. Its reverse side depicts miners and farmers. It bears a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals the bust of Smora Moises Machal. It is 140 x 68 mm in size. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
