This uncirculated 100 Mozambican metical banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Mozambique. It is a green, yellow, and orange banknote that is dated 16 June 1980 and measures 140 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side shows five FRELIMO soldiers raising the flag on 25 June 1975 at the Machava Stadium, the national coat of arms, and a portrait of the president of FRELIMO, Eduardo Mondlane. Its reverse side depicts the bank logo, a battalion of soldiers marching in front of a civilian crowd, the star-shaped monument in the Praca dos Herois (Square of Heroes), and the civil war mural. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Samora Moises Machel. The note was demonetized in 2012.
