The Mozambique 100 Meticais banknote is part of the 1989 issues. It is green, yellow, and orange in color and measures 140 x 68 mm. The obverse side shows a Portuguese text, five FRELIMO soldiers raising a flag on 25 June 1975 at Machava stadium in Louren Marques (Maputo), the coat of arms, and the President of FRELIMO, Eduardo Mondlane. The reverse side features a Portuguese text, a bank logo with hoe and pickaxe, soldiers with flag marching in front of crowds of civilians, a star-shaped monument in Pra dos Hers (Square of Heroes) in Maputo, and a civil war mural in Maputo. This banknote uses a solid security thread and contains a watermark with a Bust of Samora Moises Machel design. It is also in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
