Mozambique 20,000 Metecais Banknote, 1999, P-140, UNC

This uncirculated 20,000 Mozambican metical note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Mozambique. It is a green, blue, and violet note that is dated 16 June 1999, bear the signatures of Adriano Maleiane, and measures 155 mm x 66 mm. Its obverse side features a seated woman writing a book and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side shows the Conselho Municipal in Maputo. Security features include a reed inside a cog as a registration device, a solid security thread with printed MOÇAMBIQUE and a watermark of a seated woman writing. The note was demonetized in 2012.
