The Mozambique 50,000 Meticais banknote is part of the 1993 issues. It is brown, violet, and green in color and measures 156 x 66 mm. The obverse side shows a Portuguese text, the Banco de Mombique headquarters building in Maputo, the coat of arms, and a reed inside cog as a registration device. The reverse side features a Portuguese text, a reed inside cog, a bank logo, a portion of ceramic low relief on the front of the bank headquarters by artist Querubim Lapa de Almeid, and the Cahora dam. This banknote uses a solid security thread with printed MOMBIQUE and contains a watermark with a Bank logo and a 50000 design. It is also in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
