The Mozambique 50 Escudos Banknote was issued by the Bank of Mozambique, dated 1970 and was put into circulation in 1976. It has a color combination of black, green, violet, and yellow. The note’s obverse depicts Joao de Azevedo Coutinho and the Portuguese national coat of arms. It also bears a horizontal black BANCO DE MOCAMBIQUE overprint. The reverse depicts a BNU seal. It contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals the Portuguese national coat of arms. The banknote measures 160 x 80 mm. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
