This 3-piece banknote set consists of 10, 25, and 50 pfennig notgeld banknotes issued by the City of Muhlberg an der Elbe in Saxony in 1921. These emergency banknotes have a unified design on their obverse featuring the coat of arms of Muhlberg an der Elbe at the center, the front of a medallion on the left, and the reverse of the medal on the right. The reverse of the 10 and 25-pfenning banknotes depicts city landmarks such as the market and a church while the 50-pfennig bill illustrates Elector Johann Friedrich being taken captive by Emperor Karl V after the Battle of Muhlberg on April 24, 1547. These banknotes are 90 x 60 mm in size and are in uncirculated condition.
