The New Hebrides 100 francs banknote which was issued in 1977 is given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. It has a Nouvelles-Hebrides overprint on both front and back. Its front comprises an aerial view of the airport and ships in the port of Papeete and Moorea Islands highest point, Sommet Tohiea. At the left is a wooden totem and at the right is a native girl with a floral wreath in her hair, playing the guitar. Flowers are also visible on the obverse side of the note. Centered on the back of the New Hebrides 100 francs banknote is an aerial view of harbor town buildings. The back of this 140 x 75 mm note also features a native girl surrounded by flowers and a wooden totem. The banknotes watermark shows RF and Marianne, the personification of liberty, wearing a Phrygian cap.
