Reviews:

This uncirculated 500 Francs New Hebrides note is a standard circulation banknote issued by Overseas Issuing Institute of New Hebrides. It is a blue note that is dated 1981 ND, bear the signatures of Yves Roland-Billecart and Marcel Theron, and measures 150 x 80 mm. Its obverse side features the coastal landscape of the Marquesas Islands, a tropical fish, coral and sea fans, an outrigger canoe sailing boat, and a Polynesian fisherman. Its reverse side shows a beach scene of Hienghène (New Caledonia), a Uvean man from the Loyalty Islands, a mangrove branch, shellfish, harpoons, and a wooden totem. Both sides show a horizontal black 'Nouvelles-Hébrides' overprint. Though there is no security thread, the note still has a watermark of a female head wearing a Phrygian cap (Marianne), and RF.
