This note is a specimen of the 1 New Zealand dollar note issued by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand from 1967 to 1981. It has brown, orange, and green colors and dimensions of 140 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features Anthony Buckleys portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Its reverse side features clematis flowers (Clematis paniculata) and the fantail bird (Rhipidura fulginosa). Security features of the note include a solid yellow security thread and a Captain James Cook watermark. Because this note is a specimen, it has a diagonal red SPECIMEN and De La Rue NO VALUE oval overprints, a specimen number, and an all-zero serial number. This banknote has been graded 58 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
