The New Zealand 2 Dollars banknote is part of the 1977-1981 issues. It is mauve, orange, green, and red in color and measures 145 x 73 mm. The obverse side shows Queen Elizabeth II wearing Queen Alexandras Kokoshnik tiara, King George VIs festoon necklace, and Queen Marys floret earrings. The reverse side features the mistletoe (Peraxilla tetrapetala) flower, the rifleman/titipounamu (Acanthisitta chloris) bird. This banknote uses a solid yellow security thread and contains a watermark with a Captain James Cook design. It is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guarantee (PMG).
