The New Zealand 5 Dollars Banknote is part of the 1999-2014 issues. It is brown and orange in color and measures 138x66 mm. Its obverse side features a fern as a registration device, Mount Cook/Aoraki, the Massey Ferguson tractor, an outline map of New Zealand, and Sir Edmund Hillary. Meanwhile, the reverse side shows a daisy (Pleurophyllum speciosum) flower, a bull kelp (Durvillaea antarctica), a yellow-eyed penguin/hoiho (Megadyptes antipodes) bird, subantarctic lily (Bulbinella rossii) flowers, and ferns. This TAP authenticated banknote does not contain any security thread. However, it uses a watermark with (shadow image) Queen Elizabeth II design.
