This uncirculated 50 New Zealand dollar banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand as part of the Brighter Money series. It is a purple, brown, and orange polymer banknote that is dated 2015, bears the signature of Bank Governor Graeme Wheeler, and measures 150 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side shows a green crow SPARK feature, the Porourangi Maori meeting house in Waiomatatini Marae, the tukutuku pattern (Poutama porourangi), and a portrait of Sir Apirana Ngata. Its reverse side displays sky-blue mushrooms (Entoloma hochsletteri), the Pureora Forest, a blue-wattled crow (Callaeas cinerea wilsoni), and ferns. Because it is a polymer note, it does not have a security thread or a watermark.
