The Nicaragua 1 Cordoba Banknote was issued by the Banco Central de Nicaragua in 1990. Its obverse side features a sun rising over a cornfield, Spanish text, and a portrait of Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba, a conquistador who founded Granada and Leon. Its reverse side contains the national emblem of Nicaragua, a sunrise, and Spanish text. The banknote does not have a watermark. However, it has a solid security thread and dimensions of 156 mm x 67 mm. It bear the signatures of Emilio Pereira Alegria, Francisco Mayorga, and Raul Lacayo Solorzano. This Series A banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
