It is an olive green, light blue, orange, and purple banknote that is dated 18 November 1987, bears the signatures of William Hupper Arguello, Joaquin Cuadra Chamorro, and Alejandro Martinez Cuenca, and measures 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side shows a horizontal black BCN/100,000/CIEN MIL overprint and a portrait of Modernismo poet Ruben Dario. Its reverse side depicts a view of the Rubel Dario National Theater and a horizontal black BCN/100,000/CIEN MIL overprint.
