The Nicaragua 20,000 Cordobas on 20 Cordobas Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Nicaragua in 1987. The note has a color combination of orange, green, and purple. On the obverse is a portrait of Comandante German Pomares Ordonez who founded the Sandinista National Liberation Front. It also bears a horizontal black BCN / 20.000 / VEINTE MIL overprint. The reverse of the note depicts Sandinista militia marching with rifles (Milicias Populares Sandinistas) and a horizontal black BCN / 20.000 VEINTE MIL overprint. The note contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals Augusto Cesar Sandino. It also bears the signatures of Miriam Gonzales, Luis Enrique Figueroa Aguilar, and Joan Cuadra Chamorro. This particular banknote is part of Series F and has been graded 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
