This uncirculated 500 Nicaraguan cordoba banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Nicaragua. It is a red banknote that is dated 26 March 2014, bears the signatures of Ovidio Reyes Ramirez and Ivan Adolfo Acosta Montalvan, and measures 156 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side shows a view of the Catedral de Leon (Cathedral of Leon) and a green SPARK Orbital of a hexagon. Its reverse side depicts a view of Volcan Momotombo (Momotombo stratovolcano near Leon) and the national coat of arms. Security features include a denomination registration device, a pearlescent stripe with 500, a color-changing windowed security thread with a demetalized flower and BCN, and a watermark of a frangipani flower (Plumeria alba) with an electrotype 500.
