This 5 Nigerian naira banknote is a polymer note that was introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2013 and signed by Sanusi Lamido Aminu Sanusi and Muhammad Nda. It is a mauve note that measures 130 mm x 72 mm. Its obverse side features Prime Minister Alhaji Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and the CBN logo. Its reverse side features the map of Nigeria, four Nkpokiti dancers, and the national emblem. Because this note is a polymer note, it does not have a security thread. However, it has a watermark that shows a CBN design. The note is a choice uncirculated note that has some evidence of handling but no folds. It is graded 64 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
