The obverse of this mauve banknote features Prime Minister Alhaji Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and the bank logo. The banknote is 130 x 72 mm in size and bears a watermark that shows the bank's initials CBN. It also carries the signatures of Godwin Emefiele and Ahmed Bello Umar.
