The Nigeria 500 Naira Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2020. It has orange, purple, and red colors. Its obverse side honors the first President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe. Its reverse side depicts an off0shore oil platform and the national emblem of Nigeria. Security features of the note include a windowed security thread with demetalized CBN and a watermark of Dr. Nnambdi Azikiwe and an electrotype 500 CBN. The note is 151 mm x 78 mm in size. It is signed by Governor Godwin Emefiele and Director of Currency Operations Ahmed Bello Umar. The note is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
