This 1 Omani rial note is dated 1989 and signed by Sultan Qaboos bin Said. It is a red note that measures 145 mm x 78 mm. Its obverse side shows Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Its reverse side shows the Sohar Fort. Security features include a solid security thread with printed Arabic text and a watermark of Sultan bin Said. The note was demonetized in 2019. It is also a gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced minor handling, and has above-average centering. Thus, it is graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).
