The Oman 10 Rials banknote is part of a commemorative series issued in 2015 in celebration of the 45th National Day, also known as the day Sultan Qaboos bin Said overthrew the repressive reign of his father in 1970. This particular banknote is purple, measures 140 x 71 mm nd has a Paper Money Guaranty grade of 66. The front side bears the portrait of bin Said along with Omans coat of arms and he Al Alam Palace in Old Muscat. Meanwhile, the back side shows the Sultan Qaboos University in Al Khoudh in the Muscat Governorate. For security, this banknote features a two-tone windowed security thread and a watermark in the image of the said Sultan.
