The Oman 10 Rials banknote is part of a commemorative series issued in 2010 in celebration of the 40th National Day, also known as the day Sultan Qaboos bin Said overthrew the repressive reign of his father in 1970. This particular banknote is brown, measures 160 x 76 mm and was given a grade of 65 by the grading company PMG (Paper Money Guaranty). The front side bears the portrait of bin Said along with Omans coat of arms and the main entrance of the Central Bank of Omans headquarters. Meanwhile, the back side shows the Muttrah Fort, a small observation and defensive weapons facility, towering over a city and a port.
