The Oman 5 Rials is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2010 to commemorate the 40th National Day. It is graded PMG 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty. Its obverse bears the portrait of Sultan Qaboos bin Said and the Sultan Qaboos University building showing a clock tower. A khanjar (dagger) in green SPARK can also be found. On the right part are the coat of arms and the main entrance of the Central Bank of Oman headquarters. In addition, the note has a crown as its registration device. The reverse of the banknote features the Nizwa buildings and the 40th National Day logo. This paper bill has a variety thread and its windowed security thread has a demetalized 5 RIALS. This 153 x 76 mm banknote signed by bin Said has a Sultan and electrotype 5 watermarks.
