The Oman 50 Rials Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Oman in 2020 or 1441 in the Hijri calendar to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the rise of the Modern Omani Resistance and its founder, Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taymur. Its obverse side bears Arabic text, the coat of arms of Oman, a green-to-gold SPARK print of the denomination, the Central Bank of Oman building, Mirani Fort, and a portrait of Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Its reverse side contains Arabic text and the facades of the Council of Oman, the Supreme Court, and the Ministry of Finance. Security features of the note include a crossed sword and khanjar registration device, and a green-to-gold RollingStar windowed security thread. Its watermark reveals Sultan Qaboos bin Said and an electrotype denomination in Arabic. The green banknote is 173 mm by 76 mm in size. This commemorative banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
