Reviews:

This 2 Peso Oro note is dated 1st de Enero de 1973 (1 January 1973) and signed by the Banco de la Republica (Bank of the Republic) Manager German Bolero de los Rios and Finance Secretary Antonio Jose Gutierrez. Its obverse side features Policarpa Salavarrieta, a seamstress who served as a spy for Colombian revolutionaries during the Spanish Reconquista of the Viceroyalty of New Granada. Its reverse side features the Golden Muisca raft from the Gold Museum. It has dimensions of 140 mm x 171 mm. This note circulated at the start of Pablo Escobar’s monopoly on the drug cartel in Colombia and eventually South America. The note was discontinued in 1977 due to inflation. It comes with a banknote album and a Certificate of Authenticity.
