Papua New Guinea 2 Kina Banknote, 1975 ND, P-1, UNC

The Papua New Guinea 2 Kina Banknote was issued by the Bank of Papua New Guinea in 1975. The obverse of this green banknote features the coat of arms of Papua New Guinea depicting a bird of paradise perched on a Kundu drum and a ceremonial spear. The reverse depicts a Mount Hagan axe and a Kula armband from Milne Bay Province. It also shows an engraved dogs’ tooth necklace from Bougainville, a Sepik clay pot, and tapa cloth patterns. The note contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reflects the bank logo. It is 140 x 70 mm in size and is signed by Henry ToRobert and Mekere Morauta. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
