Papua New Guinea 2 Kina Banknote, 2013, P-28c, UNC

The green 2 kina banknote from Papua New Guinea was introduced in 2007 as part of the first family of polymer banknotes issued by the Bank of Papua New Guinea. Its obverse side contains a view of the National Parliament building in Port Moresby and the national emblem of Papua New Guinea: a bird of paradise perched on a Kundu drum and a ceremonial spear. Its reverse side contains artifacts from different regions: a Mount Hagan axe, a Sepik clay pot, tapa cloth patterns, a Kula arm band from the Milne Bay Province, and an engraved dog-tooth necklace from Bougainville. Though the note does not have a security thread it has the bank logo watermark. The note measures 140 mm long and 70 mm wide.
