This uncirculated 5 Papua New Guinean kina note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Bank of Papua New Guinea for the 2007 South Pacific Games. It is a violet note that is dated 2007, bear the signatures of Leonard Wilson Kamit and Simon Tossali, and measures 148 mm x 73 mm. Its obverse side features the 2007 XII South Pacific Games logo and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side shows primitive currencies like the Hombuli mask used for bridal payments in the Sepik region, kina shells used in the Highlands, a shell necklace from Milne Bay, and a necklace interwoven with New Ireland seeds. Security features include a windowed security thread with a demetallized 5 BPNG and a watermark of the bank logo. The note was demonetized in 2013.
