Papua New Guinea 50 Kina Banknote, 1989 ND, P-11, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

The Papua New Guinea 50 Kina banknote is part of the 1989 ND issues. It is orange in color and measures 150 x 75 mm. The obverse side shows the coat of arms with the bird of paradise perched on the Kundu drum and the ceremonial spear, and the National Parliament building in Port Moresby. The reverse side features a portrait of Prime Minister Michael Somare, spears from Sepik, a shield and mask from New Ireland, a leaf and pointed Tubuan face mask from New Britain, a headdress from the Highlands, and a mask and costume from Sepik River. This banknote uses a solid security thread printed PAPUA NEW GUINEA and contains a watermark with a bank logo design.
