It is a red, green, pink, and yellow note that is dated 24 May 1973, bear the signatures of Emilio G. Barreto Bermeo and Luis Barua Castañeda, and measures 155 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side features the de la Vega home in Cusco and a portrait of Inca Garcilao de la Vega, the earliest recorded mestizo in the history of the Americas.
